Judith Solomon è riconosciuta a livello internazionale per la sua ricerca e la sua costruzione di teorie sull'attaccamento ed il caregiving, compresa la sua scoperta, con Mary Main, della categoria di attaccamento disorganizzato/disorientato del bambino. Ha condotto il primo studio longitudinale su neonati in famiglie separate e divorziate, ed ha sviluppato importanti questionari e misure rappresentative di caregiving e attaccamento del bambino. La dottoressa Solomon è primo editore di Attachment Disorganization (1999) e di Disorganized Attachment and Caregiving (2011). Recentemente è stata Fulbright Visiting Professor all'Università di Vienna, Visiting Researcher al Dipartimento di Salute Pubblica e Cure Primarie dell'Università di Cambridge, Regno Unito, ed ha ricevuto nel 2018 il premio John Bowlby for Contributions to the Field Of Attachment dal Bowlby Centre, Londra, Regno Unito. La dottoressa Solomon mantiene anche uno studio clinico privato negli Stati Uniti, specializzato nelle prime relazioni genitori-figli.

Judith Solomon is internationally recognized for her pioneering research and theory-building on attachment and caregiving, including her discovery, with Mary Main, of the infant disorganized/disoriented attachment category. She conducted the first longitudinal study of infants in separated and divorced families and developed key representational and questionnaire measures of caregiving and child attachment. Dr. Solomon is the first editor of Attachment Disorganization (1999) and Disorganized Attachment and Caregiving (2011). She was recently a Fulbright Visiting Professor at the University of Vienna, a Visiting Researcher in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care, Cambridge University, UK, and a 2018 recipient of the John Bowlby Award for Contributions to the Field Of Attachment from the Bowlby Centre, London, UK. Dr. Solomon also maintains a private clinical practice in the USA, specializing in early parent-child relationships.
